No Deer! Not My Garden Tonight

Date:
Monday, May 15, 2017 -
6:30pm to 8:00pm

Presented by JoAnn Weaver

Gardening in Minnesota is not for the faint of heart! You plant, you weed and finally; you feel so good about the way your garden looks…then, one night the deer move in and it’s all gone.  They take whatever they want, leaving you with a very forlorn and chewed up garden that’s no longer beautiful. This presentation will cover deer facts, deer defense &  deer resistant plant selection.

JoAnn Weaver, a graduate of the University of Nebraska, has a degree in education and is a retired registered nurse. She has been a U of M Extension Master Gardener in Crow Wing County since 2006. She has served several terms as an elected official, is active on numerous boards and committees, and participates in a number of community organizations. She is a long-time gardener, a hobby beekeeper, and tends a small flock of chickens.
