Non-Profit Rate - $5  per person, $50 Minimum, $125 Maximum

- The Northland Arboretum Visitor Center is a smoke-free facility - this includes all building and grounds. Alcohol is permitted only through a caterer with a MN State Liquor License Permit and liability insurance.

- Food is allowed to be brought in by the rental party.  All clean up is the renter's responsibility. 
- CLEAN UP by staff is available at an extra charge of $325.00 for members, $350.00 for non-members.

Cancellation Policy:  No Refunds of Damage Deposit & rental fee if canceled less than 180 days prior to event.  $100 Administrative Fee on all cancellations will come off of deposit.

Building Reception: A $500 damage deposit plus half the rental fee is required to hold the date. Balance is due in full at time of walkthrough (one week before event). After your event, the facility is inspected and if found in good condition, a check for damage deposit amount will be mailed to you. Please allow 25 business days to process.   Please Note:  Tables or chairs from the Arboretum building are NOT allowed be used outside.


Grounds Wedding:  Gazebo or grounds wedding only requires a $100 deposit to hold date which will be applied to total due.  Please Note:  No tables or chairs from the Arboretum building can be used outside.

 Day Before Event Info:  If Arboretum building room(s) is/are not rented, you will have access to room(s) to decorate and/or set-up only at 5 PM the prior day.  Rehearsal Dinner can be held in the building with additional rental charge as noted on page one.  If holding rehearsal dinner at Arboretum, you will have access to the upper conference room at 3:00 pm the day before your wedding.  To hold the entire building the entire prior day will be at an additional rate of $400.

Membership Rates:  To qualify for members rates, you must be a member of the Arboretum at least 90 days prior to your event.  Membership is non-refundable.

Cancellation Policy:  Cancellations which occur less than 180 days before the event will result in forfeiture of damage deposit and half of rental fee.  $100 Administrative Fee on all cancellations will come off of deposit.

 Decorating: You are allowed to decorate using good judgment.  PLEASE - NO CONFETTI OR GLITTER IS ALLOWED.  NO OPEN FLAMES ALLOWED.  No nails, packing tape or scotch tape is allowed.  Painters tape is allowed. Do not hang anything from sprinkler heads.  All decorations must be removed by the end of event.

Clean-up After Event:  Our expectations are that you return the rooms to their condition prior to your event, including putting all tables and chairs back in the same configuration(s).  Your caterer is responsible for removal of all food and beverage refuse after your event – be sure to verify this with your caterer.  NO FOOD OR BEVERAGES/REFUSE CAN BE LEFT OVERNIGHT.  If the Arb is hired to clean up, the fee includes clearing non-food/beverage garbage from banquet rooms & kitchen area, sweeping/vacuuming of building, resetting of chairs and tables.  The Northland Arboretum staff is not allowed to handle any personal items i.e. clothing, gifts, and any items brought in to decorate or use for wedding/reception.

Building Security/Check-Out List:  You are responsible for securing building and all items on check-out list at the end of your event.

Alcohol Policy:  Alcohol is permitted only through a caterer with a State of Minnesota liquor license permit and liability insurance. A copy of each must be provided to the Arb prior to event. Caterer and renter are responsible for cleaning up all spillage/bottles/glasses/items related to the serving of alcoholic beverages.  No alcohol is allowed outside of the building structure.

Smoking Policy: Northland Arboretum is a no-smoking area.  No smoking allowed in any buildings within the Arboretum or anywhere on the Arboretum grounds.

Security System:  The building security system automatically set at 1:00 AM.  You need to be out of the building before that.  Do not re-enter building or you will trip the alarms and be responsible for all costs involved in alarm set-off including but not limited to security personnel, police and Arb staff.
